The ‘Word On The Street’ project, otherwise known as ‘WOTS’ is a mobile youth centre based in Ringwood but also serves a number of local surrounding areas. The distinctive pink and blue double-decker bus is packed full of the latest games consoles, entertainment equipment and gadgets along with a smart kitchen and lounge area to chill in.

All facilities on the bus are completely FREE to use during its scheduled visits. All of the WOTS youth workers are available for a chat throughout each visit, ready to offer advice about life, careers, friendships or relationships.

BLD’s award winning artist Dave Nichols designed the sign writing including the giant side graphics for the bus. In addition, BLD’s IT department have assisted in the provision of IT equipment for this great project.

Stuart Dobson, BLD’s Operations Director commented, “BLD has a policy of supporting local organizations that are focused on young people and assisting them in their careers and lives generally.”
