FAQs
Claims
- How long will my claim take to get sorted?
- It is not possible to put a time constraint on a claim because there are so many contributing factors, such as how quickly the third party insurers act and whether or not we have all the information we need. However we can assure you that we will strive to get your claim resolved as quickly as we can.
- What happens if the third party lies about the accident circumstances?
- We will gather all of the information that we can to substantiate your claim, such as witness statements, engineer's reports and, where necessary, a police report. The damage to both vehicles is often a very good clue as to the accident circumstances and the engineers are highly trained to detect the impact sites and angles.
Repairs / total loss bikes
- Can I buy my bike back if it is a total loss?
- The bike belongs to you, until you have decided what you want to do with it (unless it is deemed a category A write off). You can view a slide show which explains the process at 'downloads' located on the homepage.
- Can I put my bike back on the road if it has been written off?
- Depending on the category and potential insurer, yes. Please see the slide show called "what happens to my total loss bike".
Hire Bikes
- What happens if I no longer need the hire bike?

- What happens if I damage the hire bike?
